Greenbelt is a yearly gathering of about 20,000 people in a field in the middle of England. 2014 marked the 41st Greenbelt festival - a festival of art, faith and justice. I started going about 10 years ago and haven't missed a festival since. It's kind, challenging, proactive; it's unsettling, it's beautiful; it's full of friends, it's full of strangers; it has new voices, old voices; it has art that speaks for itself; it has theology that resists colonisation and it has a taste of the goodness of the good.

The nice folks at Greenbelt commissioned a film company, Black Matter, to put together a film about this year's theme: Travelling Light. And they used poem that I'd written for it. What an honour. The film is below.

Next year's Greenbelt Festival is August 28-31, 2015, in Kettering, in the middle of England. See also the Scottish loveliness that is the Solas Festival in Perthshire in June (19-21st) and  - hold your wooly hat with all the excitement  -  see the Corrymeela Festival in north Antrim (July 31-Aug 2nd).
