Gospel Retreat in London with Moot (6th-8th June).

I'm delighted to be going back to London this June to lead a retreat with the Moot community. This retreat - called 'Human Encounter in the Gospels' - will look at human interaction in the gospel texts, and consider these accounts through various lenses: the lens of literary analysis, the lens of prayer and the lens of our own lives.

The retreat starts on Friday evening with a social time (7.30-10pm) in the Host Cafe area of St. Mary Aldemary in the City, and then begins proper on the Saturday (10.30am – 4pm). It ends on the afternoon of the Sunday (3-5pm) and then flows into to the Moot Sunday Evening Service. The retreat is non-residential. Full details, as well as costs and registration are on the Moot website.

Moot is a new-monastic community whose home is the Church of St Mary Aldermary, in the heart of the City of London. We seek to show that those who may not relate to traditional ideas of church can find a home in the Christian tradition.

We recognise the inspiration of many throughout the centuries, from saints to artists, and seek to offer hospitality and conversation to all.

We seek to live in a way that is both relevant to modern culture and to God, by finding God in the midst of everyday life. We welcome all to share their lives and learning with us – our doors are open throughout the week.
