Late in 2013, I interviewed the Dublin poet, Micheal O’Siadhail, for the Church Times. The article appeared a week ago and I’ve put a PDF of it below. Micheal O’Siadhail’s Collected Works (published by Bloodaxe) is a remarkable collection of a lifetime of poetry. His poetry has attracted the attention of theologians, and both David Ford and NT Wright gave warm laudations for and insight on Micheal’s work.
The piece carries a lot of quotations from his poetry, ‘So’ ‘Name dropping’ ‘The Gossamer Wall’ and others. I wasn’t able to find space for one of the most delicious poems I’ve read in a long time ‘Sunday Morning Chez La Masseuse’ – I’ll leave that for those of you who buy the book.
