Spark Retreat (run by Peter Rollins)

  • Spark Retreat at Crawfordsburn Inn (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

I’m delighted to be in residence at Peter Rollins’ Spark Festival this October (13-17). Spark is a five-day bespoke retreat that is carefully crafted to help spark peoples creative potential. This is not designed to help you briefly escape your everyday life, but rather is curated to help you find the tools and inspiration that will enable you to make positive changes in your everyday life.

Pete is an old friend, and has been an extraordinary support and encourager to me over the years. I’m really looking forward to opportunities to be part of this festival. We’ll both be making time to meet with folks to talk about their creative processes, talk editing, talk storytelling, talk delivery and craft.

I’m delighted to be one of the keynote speakers at the Reconciling Realities in Religious Education Conference organised by the European Forum for Teachers of Religious Education.

This conference takes place in Dublin this coming August. Information and booking are available through the links above. I will be speaking about how religious education can be used as a tool for mutual dialogue and understanding in places — like Ireland and Britain — where historical narratives continue into contemporary discord.

I’m delighted to be part of the team on the Burren Executive Leadership Retreat this August in County Clare. This retreat centres around some key questions:

  • What does it mean to grow myself to successfully meet the challenges I am facing?

  • Where are my peers; other leaders actively seeking their next horizon?

  • What role can we play in evolving leadership to meet the needs of the future?
