Tell it Slant: reading the gospels from the edges

  • Sarum College 19 The Close Salisbury SP1 2EE England (map)

Emily Dickinson’s poem

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant —

suggests that truth must be approached from many angles, with time, for it to unfold.

In this residential weekend at Sarum College in England, we will approach Gospel texts through slant angles, allowing the queer, marginal and silenced voices to speak, to hold their own, and to engage in a theological project of truthtelling.

You can find more information about Sarum here. This course is part of Sarum's Centre for Engaging the Bible. led by Dr. Jayme Reaves. You can find the full brochure for Sarum’s events here.
