Adventfest is a whole weekend event at St. James’, Leith. You can find out information here: www.adventfest.org

3.00pm - 4.30pm
This Advent Darkened Room
For this afternoon session we will explore the theme of darkness as a gift for religion. So much of religious language seems to present itself as certainty, and yet so much of religious experience is in the half-light, twilight or night-time of intuition. Taking Patrick Kavanagh’s poem ‘Advent’ as a discussion point, we will talk together about art, faith, doubt, certainty and uncertainty. Sitting together in the short days of the year, we will share stories from our lives as well as explore poetries that dignify our doubts and deepen our dialogue.
Tickets £5.00 from Eventbrite. You can find out more through this link.
